RULES

Eligibility

1. The competition is open to all, categories as follows:

   1. Children 4-10 years old*  

   2. Children 11-18 year old*

   3. Adult (18 years and over)

age at December 31st 2021

1. Contestants must submit their artwork for consideration into the appropriate age category. If you do not enter your date of birth, we cannot judge your work

2. Only one entry will be accepted per person

3. Contestants must supply full submission details with their artwork, via EMAIL ONLY, as required and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prizes

4. Under 18 entries must include the consent from their parents or guardians to participate in the competition

 

Submission

1. All entrants must provide the following details written clearly in the email
   - name
   - email
   - address
   
   if under 18 you must include
   - child's name
   - child's date of birth
   - parent/guardian’s name, email address
    

2. To enter the competition, contestants must submit original artwork of their own creation in A5 format. pdf format, suitable for a Christmas card collection

3. Entries should not include the Cabaret vs Cancer logo due to HMRC rules

4. No photographs, sculptures, or other artwork will be eligible for submission

5. No swearing, use of bad language should be used in your submissions

6. No reproductions of copyright material or logos will be eligible for submission

7. Representations of cigarettes, vaping or other smoking paraphernalia should not be used

8. By submitting an entry you are confirming you abide by these rules, and that you have the legal right to claim the submission as your own work

 

The competition​

1. The closing date for entries is 5pm September 20th 2021

2. All entries received by this date will be entered into the judging

3. Late entries will not be considered

4. The winner(s) will be chosen by the Cabaret vs Cancer judging panel as the best entry for a Cabaret vs Cancer Christmas card.

5. Judging will be undertaken anonymously by the judging panel

6. The judging panel’s decision is final in every situation and no correspondence will be entered into

7. The winners will be notified in early October

8. The competition organisers reserve the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in their opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of their control

 

Prizes

1. There will be one 1st place winner per age category. Only the winners will be contacted by email.

2. Winners of each category will receive a prize bundle.

3. There will be runner up prizes who will receive a thank you card and nominal prize.

4. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred or substituted

5. There will be no cash alternatives

6. Prizes will be shipped to a UK address, if the winner is outside the UK they will be required to pay shipping.

Intellectual Property

1. All copyright in the artwork submitted by the entrant will be the intellectual property of the entrant

2. The entrant shall grant to Cabaret vs Cancer for the purpose of display, publication and any future use in book, calendar or electronic format an exclusive irrevocable perpetual royalty-free licence to use the copyright in their sole discretion and without any payment Cabaret vs Cancer.

3. The submitted art work cannot be submitted to any other art competition until January 1st 2022.

4. Your data will only be used in conjunction with this Christmas card competition

5. The competition organisers will not pass on contestants’ personal details to any other organisation except for the purposes of running the competition which they have entered
