What we do with your donations
Every donation to Cabaret vs Cancer goes directly towards supporting people affected by cancer and those navigating grief, loss, and life-changing diagnoses. Through our cabaret and burlesque fundraising shows, online auctions, and community events, we turn your generosity into real, tangible help for the people who need it most.

Here are just a FEW of the projects we support.

Supporting Families Through Bereavement
Your donations help fund the incredible child bereavement team at St Joseph’s Hospice, providing specialist support for families facing unimaginable loss. This work ensures no child or parent has to navigate grief alone.

Helping People Find Their Way Through Loss
We proudly support The Loss Foundation, a specialist service offering grief support to those who’ve lost someone to cancer. Donations help keep vital counselling and community programmes available to anyone who needs them. Recently we've been supporting the development of a toolkit to help young people dealing with loss.

Backing Young Adults Living With Cancer
A portion of our grant‑giving goes to Shine Cancer Support, helping people under 50 who are facing cancer diagnoses. Your support funds peer groups, practical advice, and emotional wellbeing sessions tailored to younger adults.
Giving Santa a Helping Hand
We work closely with Santa to ensure that children with cancer in the East Midlands receive a special present while in hospital, whether it's a Barbie doll or a cuddly shark (yes really!), we shop directly from the PASIC wish list to get them what is needed.

Providing Money Where It's Needed Most
We also provide financial support to Cancer is a Drag, helping individuals struggling with the everyday costs that come with cancer—from travel to treatment to essential living expenses.

Whether you engage with our events, bid in our auctions, shop with us or donate directly, every action helps us provide real-world support to those who need it most. Your generosity fuels vital services, strengthens partner organisations, and brings comfort to individuals and families at some of the hardest moments of their lives.
